Palm Beach: A Sister Date At The Breakers

There is nothing quite like the sunsets and beaches of Florida.

Come for the ocean views, stay for the hand-crafted cocktails.

If you ever find yourself in Palm Beach and want to indulge in an afternoon of beautiful ocean views, look no further than to The Breakers. Across the bridge from West Palm Beach and right on the ocean front sits this stunning Italian Renaissance-style resort with a private beach and a multitude of amenities. My family and I love to stop by one its 9 restaurants when we are in the area, especially after a day on the beach, and that was exactly what my sister and I did on this day. It was my sister’s birthday and what better way to celebrate than sharing drinks and dessert at the seafood bar after a wonderful day at the beach? This was during Thanksgiving weekend and the resort was decked out in beautiful decorations, kicking off the holiday season in style.

Every year the resort is decorated beautifully for the holiday season.

Make the most of your visit.

If you’re just stopping by for a quick bite, here is what you should know.

  • You can tour the common areas: take in the hotel's striking facade and stunning architecture, but note that visitors and non-hotel guests are not allowed on the property between 11 PM and 7 AM.

  • Have a drink or a meal: Enjoy a drink at the bar or enjoy a meal at the resort’s many restaurants. I’ve found you can do a walk-in pretty much any day and time, at least for the Seafood Bar.

  • Shopping: Walk past the grand lobby and you will find a quaint stretch of storefronts. Featuring some of the world’s most recognized and pursued brands, the boutiques offer the best of Palm Beach shopping at the hotel.

I have found that dress code for the hotel, in true Florida fashion, is pretty relaxed though should you wish to visit the more upscale restaurants I would follow a business casual rule of thumb. There is self-parking on premise but you can also opt for the valet service; which is complimentary with a visit to any of the resort’s restaurants.
